The latest test build
Rebuilt automatically after every change that passes the tests on Windows, Linux and macOS, and published within minutes. It may be broken: passing the tests is not the same as somebody having used it. There is no full release yet.
Installer
Recommendedgrouplab-setup-win-x64.exe
Windows 10 and 11. Installs into your own user account, with an entry in Add or remove programs.
- No administrator rights needed
- Keeps itself up to date: asks first, then updates in the background
Zip
grouplab-win-x64.zip
Windows 10 and 11. Unzip it anywhere and run GroupLab.App.exe.
- Nothing to install
- Tells you when a newer build exists; you download it yourself
Linux tarball
grouplab-linux-x64.tar.gz
Self-contained, built on Ubuntu, and tested on every change.
- Nobody uses it day to day yet
- Reports from Linux are especially welcome
When Windows says "Windows protected your PC"
Every build is unsigned, because signing costs money the project has not spent. Windows says this about any program nobody has paid to sign. The source of every build is public, at the commit the download names.
- Click More info.
- Click Run anyway.
- If your antivirus quarantines it, the file it took is
GroupLab.App.exe.
What you get
- Runtime
- Nothing else to install. The download carries its own .NET runtime.
- Samples
- Two sample sheets, so there is something to open in the first minute.
- Your data
- Kept in
%APPDATA%\GroupLaband nowhere else. An update check sends nothing about you. - Which build
- The Settings screen names the version, the train and the commit. Put that line in any report.
macOS is built and tested on every change, but nobody has run it yet, so it is not offered here. Earlier builds each keep a release of their own.
